New Caledonia

dinner?

After getting lost on a hike in the middle of nowhere, Elder Wilcox and another missionary had to trek through the wilderness for hours, machetes in hand, going off cliffs and swinging on vines. Straight out of some jungle epic thriller. He clearly had some battle wounds.

He LOVES the people of the island

So, it's definitely about time for an update on Elder Wilcox!!
He has been out ten months now and is doing amazingly well! He is working really hard, and is having incredible experiences and adventures. He was in his first area for about 7 months, and really got the work going there. He and his companion, Elder Styles were best of friends and taught the most of any companionship in the mission. He recently got transferred to a small town up North where the missionaries are not well received at all, even by the members, so he definitely has his work cut out for him! He always continues to be really upbeat and hilarious in his letters, and we are so proud of him. I will start posting letters on here too so you can all get a good laugh. He is very grateful for the letters and prayers of his friends and family! Above are some pictures that he sent just this week.
